Los Pumas prepare for England match after Scotland victory

Buenos Aires, November 18 (NA) — Following their 33-24 victory over Scotland at Murrayfield, Los Pumas are finalizing preparations for the final match of their international season against England this Sunday at Twickenham. Ahead of the 'Roses' match, as reported by the Argentine News Agency, the staff led by Felipe Contepomi has confirmed three key returns and two significant absences, which will force a reshuffle of the team. The main news is the return of Tomás Albornoz, who is available again after suffering a left hamstring injury against the Springboks in September during the Rugby Championship. Lucio Cinti and Franco Molina also return, having been absent for the two previous test matches in the November window and now available to the head coach. In contrast, Mateo Carreras has been ruled out due to a muscle injury. The Tucumán wing, who starred in the win over Scotland and is one of the most disruptive players in the squad, will not be able to play at Twickenham. His absence is compounded by that of forward Efraín Elías, who has also been ruled out. Contepomi will have to adjust his starting XV and will rely on the returning players to fill the gaps: Albornoz and Cinti will reinforce the backs, while Molina will take Elías's place among the forwards.
